TENT & TRAVEL CO HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Definitions and Contract Parties This Agreement is made between the Tent & Travel Co and the person(s) signing this document as the customer ('the Hirer'). By signing this agreement, the Hirer accepts full financial and operational responsibility for the vehicle, its passengers, and its contents throughout the duration of the hire period.
2. Driver Eligibility and Verification
2.1 Age Requirements: Drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 70 (inclusive) and have held a full, clean UK/EU driving licence for at least two (2) continuous years.
2.2 Documentation: Prior to handover, all named drivers must provide their photocard licence, a modern DVLA licence check code, and two distinct utility bills or official statements matching the licence address dated within the last 90 days.
3. Payment, Security Deposit, and Cancellations
3.1 Booking & Balance: A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the booking total is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance must be cleared in full no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled collection date.
3.2 Security Deposit: A security deposit of £350 must be pre-authorised via bank transfer before vehicle keys are released. This deposit is held to cover insurance excess, internal asset breakages or cleaning penalties.

5. Pet Policy and Pet Ownership Rules
5.1 Prior Authorization: Pets are only permitted if explicitly agreed upon during the booking stage and documented in writing on the rental voucher.
5.2 Interior Rules: A minimum fine of £100 will be charged for deep fabric cleaning if excessive hair or footprints are discovered.
5.3 Safety and Supervision: The Hirer assumes absolute legal liability for ensuring pets are properly restrained in transit using crash-tested pet harnesses. Pets must never be left completely unattended inside the motorhome under any circumstances.
6. Vehicle Insurance and Exclusions
Comprehensive insurance is provided for the primary driver, but specific liabilities fall entirely on the Hirer. The Hirer is fully responsible for out-of-pocket costs regarding: tyre structural damage/punctures, windscreen chips or cracks, overhead clearance damage above 6 feet, side awning wind damage, and mechanical damage caused by refuelling with incorrect fuel.
7. Collection, Late Returns, and Cleaning Clauses
7.1 Return Times: The vehicle must be returned on the date and time specified in the booking confirmation. Late returns will incur an immediate penalty rate of £50 per hour.
7.2 Condition on Return: The milage use is not limited but vehicle must be returned clean, with a full tank of fuel.
